About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) to join our team. The SLSO will provide specific support to students, assisting in the implementation of individualised learning plans and promoting social and communication skills. This role involves close collaboration with teachers to ensure that each student's unique needs are met, and contributing to the creation of a supportive, structured environment that enhances student engagement and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualised support to students as outlined in their learning plans and by teachers.
• Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote social and communication skills.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to create a positive learning environment.
• Engage with students to foster their participation and enthusiasm for learning.
• Monitor and report on student progress and engagement.

Duration
Term 2, with the possibility of extension

Hours:

• 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (5.5 hours)

Days:

• Monday to Friday (open to discussion)

Requirements:

• Current clearance and approval to work as an SLSO in NSW Public Schools.
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) for paid work.
• Completion or near completion of all mandatory training modules (must be completed before commencing).
