We are seeking a dedicated Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher to join our dynamic team from the beginning of Term 2 2025.

Your opportunity

Play a pivotal role and apply your expertise to contribute to the continued development of our HPE Department.

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons to Senior Physical Education students and Year 7 to Year 10 HPE students, fostering a love of learning in these subject area.
  • Use your expertise to teach Certificate III Fitness, empowering students with practical skills and knowledge. This requires Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness as well as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, school events and professional development opportunities.

Deliver high quality teaching and learning outcomes within a professional and collaborative environment by applying your professional knowledge, practice and engagement to implement our innovative and contemporary curriculum programs.  We are seeking experienced candidates who are able to join our HPE Department from the beginning of Term 2 2025.

You will be required to engage students to nurture self-esteem, encourage self-reflection and develop compassion, respect and tolerance as a foundation on which they will build their lives in an environment that values education.

You will have:

  • Queensland College of Teachers Registration
  • Experience in the provision of quality relevant curriculum programs
  • Highly developed classroom teaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to implement information and communication technology into teaching and learning 
  • Skills and sensitivity in communicating with parents, students and other employees
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a team
