Job Summary
Chester Hill Public School, located in Sydney South West, is looking for passionate teacher to join our team in 2025. Our school has over 550 students (23 classes) with a high number of students from non-English speaking backgrounds. Literacy and numeracy are our principle areas of focus and are supported, developed and enhanced through professional learning. Teachers have 3 hours of RFF, one of which is dedicated to curriculum reform. Our learning programs include InitiaLit (K-2) and Sound Waves (3-6) and we are using the Department's Mathematics and English units.
As a PBL school, we also follow the Berry Street Education Model. Our teachers provide innovative and enriched teaching and learning experiences to engage all students in learning. We are committed to ensuring that every student is actively engaged in the whole school community by building and strengthening relationships with students, parents and the wider community. Our school has well developed wellbeing structures and processes to ensure that all students achieve learning outcomes.

We are seeking a Stage 1 classroom teacher for Term 1 with the possibility of extention. Applicants may be required to attend an informal interview.
Applicants must be accredited teachers with a valid NSW Department of Education approval number and all mandatory training up to date.
