Matrix Education is now hiring secondary English Teachers to join us at our Parramatta, Castle Hill, Chatswood, Hurstville, Strathfield or Epping campuses.

This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise! Our team is a diverse group of high school and primary Teachers, corporate professionals, university teaching staff and post graduate candidates and students.

Classes are available after school from 4:30pm on weekdays or from 9:00am on weekends at our convenient locations, which are easily accessible via public transport.

 
As a casual Teacher, you will have your regular classes each week, and have the opportunity to pick up substitute teaching shifts. All lessons and assessments are prepared for you, so there is minimal preparation required.

What you'll do...

• Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you),
• Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking of essay submissions,
• Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.

What you'll need...

• A genuine passion for teaching,
• Previous experience teaching secondary English in a classroom setting,
• Extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5, and 6 English,
• Completed their degree in Education, Arts, Philosophy, Communications or a related discipline,
• Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
