Support Unit Teacher

Toongabbie West is seeking support unit teachers for K-2 classes, including students with autism or intellectual disability. This class will have no more than 7 students and be supported by a full-time SLSO. Approval to teach is required, qualifications in special education are not necessary. These temporary positions are for the duration of 2025. Full-time and part-time options are available.

Toongabbie West is a small school of 250 students and is located a short walk from the station. There is plenty of onsite and street parking available. The school has a reputation of high academic and behaviour expectations.

• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to create a positive learning environment, which promotes inclusive practices in all school settings.
