The role of the Student Wellbeing Officer is to support the emotional well-being of students. The National School Wellbeing Program supports schools to provide a school-based role that is recognised as part of the whole school approach to pastoral care.
Applicants must:
Qualifications:
• mental health and making appropriate referrals; and
• providing pastoral care, and/or working with youth
Persons holding a formal qualification (Certificate IV or above) in a related field (eg, Theology/ Nursing/Policing, etc) which includes components dealing with mental health and client referrals are deemed to meet the minimum qualifications.
Teachers, social workers, counsellors or psychologists in training are also deemed to meet the minimum qualifications.
Applicants with a teaching degree meet the qualifications but will not be remunerated as a teacher.
Criteria:
Your application should address the above criteria including the nomination of two (2) referees.
