McAuley Catholic College - Grafton

McAuley Catholic College is situated in Grafton on the North Coast of NSW, and provides a Catholic education to students of the Clarence Valley. We are a Christ-centred community, founded on the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy and Marist Brothers. ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

This role is for College reception 

Part time temporary 20 hours per week

commencing 31 January for 2025 school year

Applicants must: 

  • hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • have the ability to handle tasks with a high degree of confidentiality
  • have a working knowledge of WH&S and equity in employment and a demonstrated capacity to apply related principles and policies
  • comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Selection Criteria - 

  • provide evidence of well-developed communication, administrative and office skills with an ability to deal tactfully, confidentially and effectively with people at all levels
  • capacity to show initiative with problem-solving skills
  • well developed organisational and planning skills with effective time management
  • ability to multitask handling various administrative duties
  • excellent listening skills with the ability to give clear, concise information in a friendly and efficient manner
  • well developed skills in a range of Microsoft and Google applications with willingness and ability to learn new systems
  • capacity to take direction
  • ability and willingness to effectively support existing team to meet pressing deadlines and competing priorities
  • previous experience in a school office and/or an understanding of the range of customer diversity of a school office setting

Desirable

  • Current First Aid certificate
  • have the ability to identify the Mission of a Catholic School and demonstrate Christian Values in dealings with staff
