University Partnerships Lead (Clerk Grade 9/10) 

Temporary, full time role in a vibrant and supportive team until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension or ongoing employment. 

• Part time flexible work arrangements considered. 
• Primarily based on campus within The University of Sydney, the incumbent may also be required to work from home or attend the NSW Department of Education’s headquarters in Parramatta. 

Remuneration of $120,859 to $133,183 per annum plus super & annual leave loading

The Attraction and Engagement team has an exciting opportunity for a skilled, highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Branding and Promotions team as a University Partnership Lead who will be responsible for developing and implementing partnership strategies and plans with The University of Sydney as well as other stakeholders to support teacher attraction and quality.

The Branding and Promotions team is responsible for promoting career opportunities for current and future teachers across NSW, leading attraction initiatives for the NSW Department of Education.

About you 

• Extensive relevant experience in building and managing strategic partnerships. 
• Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and commitment to ongoing reforms across the Department. 
• Relevant experience in delivering partnership events and projects. 
• Extensive experience in business process improvement initiatives. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Proficient collaboration capabilities and skills in maintaining relationships within and across teams. 

Key knowledge and experience 

• Extensive experience as an Educator in the K-12 classroom environment 
• Demonstrated ability to develop, plan and implement strategic initiatives and innovative practices that support improved student learning outcomes. 
• Knowledge of and experience in relationship management, business partnering, event management or public relations with the ability to effectively develop relationships and drive organisational outcomes. 
• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. 

Essential requirements of the role 

• Tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in Education, Business, Human Resources, Communications or related discipline. 
• A valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check for paid employment). 
• A valid driver's license (provisional or above), and ability & willingness to undertake occasional short term travel. 
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.
