Job Summary
Broderick Gillawarna School is situated in Revesby, a School for Specific Purpose (SSP) boasting an exceptionally supportive staff. We specialise in delivering tailored and explicit learning programs designed for students ranging from Kindergarten to Year 12, catering to those with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
This position is for Term 3 - 4 2024 with a full-time teaching load on secondary class. This class has a total of 5 students who access personalised Life Skills educational programs, utilising assistive technology, such as eye gaze. The students participates in a weekly community access program to reinforce social skills development, promote community integration and prepare students for active participation in their local community.
Special Education experience is not essential as long as an applicant has a professional capacity and willingness to learn new skills. Start date is Day 1, Term 3. Must have teaching approval.
