Job Summary

Newtown High School of the Performing Arts is one of the leading specialist Performing Arts high schools in Australia enjoying a national and international reputation for excellence in the creative and performing arts. The school is located in the inner west suburb of Newtown. 

We are currently seeking a temporary teacher for Term 2, 2024, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Teaching PDHPE Years 7 to 12 and Sport, and will be able to address the following criteria in 1- 2 pages.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and a willingness to contribute to whole school dynamic team.
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Capacity to develop and implement high quality teaching programs
• Compliance with all Department of Education employment requirements for classroom teachers
