Job Summary

Mount Kuring–gai Public School is located on the most-northern ridge of the Hornsby Shire. The school currently supports the learning of 143 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We promote a culture of collaboration, inclusiveness and a commitment to excellence across the whole school which is shared and supported by our families and the broader community. The school has a strong focus on wellbeing with the aim of developing students with the personal resources, skills and abilities to lead full and happy lives. Staff have a strong commitment to improved practice with a particular focus on embedding visible learning practices.

We are seeking a dynamic educator to join our team from Term 2 Week 6 for the remainder of 2024. The successful applicant will be joining a highly-supportive team on a multi-age primary class. 

Role criteria:

• Capacity to collaboratively develop and deliver engaging, differentiated teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of all students, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning.
• Successful experience in the use of evidence-based teaching strategies and data-driven practices to drive student improvement, with a focus on the new curriculum.
• Commitment to building productive partnerships and an ability to work collaboratively as an active and responsive member of an inclusive small-school community.
• Anything further which would demonstrate what you could offer Mount Kuring-gai Public School, such as how you would positively contribute to whole-school culture and initiatives.
