Job Summary
Schofields Public School is located in the Northwest growth area of Sydney. The current enrolment is approximately 1140 children with 67% of students from a non-English speaking background and 37 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The school enjoys strong support from parents, families and the local community. Our teachers are committed to providing high quality education in a nurturing, inclusive and innovative learning environment so that all students are active participants in their learning and inspired to be their best. In 2020, the upgrade to school facilities was completed to accommodate the growing student community. The new facilities feature shared collaborative learning spaces for students and staff including three learning spaces to cater for students with additional needs.
A collaborative team-teaching approach is central to our plans to build high collective teacher efficacy.
• Experience teaching students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, behaviour difficulties and complex additional needs, with a demonstrated ability to use teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
• Experience in the development, implementation, and review of individual education plans.
