Tallong Public School has a current enrolment of 60 students, with 5% identifying as Aboriginal, and EAL/D student numbers currently at 8% of the school's enrolment. Students are placed across 3 small, multi-stage classes which include a K/1 (17 stduents); 2/3/4 (19 students) and 4/5/6 (21 students).

Strong teaching practices and a commitment to developing positive student wellbeing are at Tallong Public School's core. Our school maintains a focus on improving the literacy and numeracy achievement of all students across a comprehensive and engaging curriculum. The development of the whole child is a priority and as such the special interests and needs of all students are met through a differentiated teaching, strong learning and support processes, student wellbeing initiatives, performing arts endeavours and diverse sporting opportunities.
