South Creek School is situated in the historic town of Riverstone behind Riverstone High School and is an active member of The Ponds Learning Alliance. There are currently 11 multi-categorical classes that specialise in 'Nurturing Potential' of students with disability including Autism, moderate to severe intellectual and physical disabilities.
South Creek School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school that brings together the whole school community to contribute to developing a positive, safe and supportive learning culture. South Creek School endeavours to improve social, emotional, behavioural and academic outcomes for children with disability.
South Creek School has an enrolment of 6 Aboriginal students. Staff are actively involved in the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG)
All classrooms are fully equipped with ensuites, kitchenettes and microwaves. Learning spaces have interactive technology such as Interactive Whiteboards or Commboxes. Each classroom has a sensory space that students can utilise in order to self regulate or have their sensory needs catered for. All classrooms have a sensory swing and the playground has numerous sensory equipment to support sensory processing needs.
