Prospect North Primary School, formerly known as Blair Athol Primary School, is an inner-metropolitan school located in Prospect and has a proud 80-year history.
Our motto 'Together We Achieve' highlights our focus on building positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging among our students who come from many different cultures and backgrounds. Our shared values build a community of learners who are compassionate, curious, creative and resilient.
Our focus is on developing student agency in learning by giving students a voice at each step of the learning cycle. Our students focus on developing literacy and numeracy proficiency along with goal setting and assessment of the general capabilities of the Australian Curriculum. Developing these capabilities gives our students a focus on self regulation, group work and independence to learn at their own pace.
Our strong STEM focus and commitment to students self managing, along with specialist programs in Physical Education, Spanish and Visual Arts, offer students engaging opportunities for learning through an integrated curriculum.
At Prospect North Primary we work together as a school community, staff, students and parents in a supportive, self managed and challenging environment to maximise opportunities and achievement for all.
