North Rocks Public School is an outstanding school, providing high-quality education and a broad range of learning opportunities for students to excel in academic, sporting and cultural pursuits. The school currently consists of 34 mainstream classes, two classes for gifted students (OC) and three special education classes. These additional classes are accessed through a selective placement process determined by the Department of Education.

Our teachers are passionate and hardworking, and they provide a safe and happy learning environment that is attractive and stimulating. There is a strong emphasis on the skills of literacy and numeracy. Teachers encourage students to use a dynamic range of technologies and to seek adaptive and creative solutions to problems. The school's behaviour support and management plan is underpinned by the framework of Choice Theory/Reality Therapy. Teachers model and encourage co-operation, caring and respect and expect students to accept increasing responsibility for their own learning and behaviour.
