Developing future
Focused skills is imperative for the students' educational and work future. Through our Project Based Learning (PBL) students are offered unique opportunities to engage in authentic learning developing solutions to issues and problems such as sustainability, safety, and cultural identity. Students engage in learning which fosters student directed learning, student choice, collaboration, critical thinking, communication, creativity and innovation.
Students are also encouraged to develop a deeper cultural understanding of the world, through annual exchanges to Kawaguchi, Japan which are available to all students.
Social justice is an important issue for the students of Northmead Creative and Performing Arts High School. The multicultural committee and prefects are a leadership group of students who manage the promotion of social justice and equity, including the sponsoring of 2 students in Ethiopia and Afghanistan, sponsoring a school in Oriakhail, Afghanistan and participating in the 40-Hour Famine and Red Shield Appeals.
We have strong ties with our community and work with them to ensure quality learning outcomes for all students.
