Welcome to the Nirimba Fields Public School community! It is such an exciting time for our new school as we have opened our doors for K-6 students in 2024! We are a small school of about 135 students in 6 classes.

Here is some key information to help you on your first day at our school.

Location - The main entrance to our school is located on Nabthorpe Parade, Nirimba Fields. When you arrive, come to the front office to sign in and hand over your paperwork (see below). Someone will let me know (or one of the other executive staff) that you are present and we will orientate you to our school. There is limited parking in the staff carpark so it is be best to park on Nabthorpe Parade. We do have a Kiss & Drop zone at that side of the school which can get busy in close to school times. Please be sure to park outside that zone.

Duties - School classes start at 9:00am and teachers need to be on duty for 8:30am each day. The final bell is 3:00 pm but it is expected that you will remain onsite and on duty until 3.15pm. We will advise you on the day of your playground duty.

Dress Code - Dress code is smart casual. Please be aware of this expectation as per the Code of Conduct policy.

Food - There is no canteen available so bring all your own food and drink for the day. Our staffroom has a fridge, microwaves, toaster, instant hot water and sandwich press for staff usage.

Documentation - In order to comply with legislative and departmental requirements, you are required to provide evidence of your completion and currency of mandatory training and approval to teach. Please make sure you bring copies of this documentation with you on your first day at our school. It may also be easier to email it through beforehand instead.
