Marion Primary School is situated in the suburb of Marion approx 10km southwest of Adelaide CBD. Teachers hold high expectations for student learning and behaviour and expect relief teachers will do the same. Teachers provide detailed lesson notes for day relief and expect that these will be followed with student work completed to a high standard and marked by the end of the day. Substituting lesson content and the provision of additional 'free time' is not supported or approved by class teachers or school leadership. Rooms should be left neat and tidy with notes relating to the day provided by the relief teacher for the classroom teacher to check on their return.
