Lockhart Central School, established in 1897, is a K to 12 school located in the rural community of Lockhart.

It is the only school in the Lockhart Shire which offers the HSC and draws students from the Lockhart village and the surrounding areas. Lockhart Central School's mission is to develop independent learners in a caring K to 12 environment.

The school works in a collaborative manner in providing an educational environment leading to stimulating learning experiences. Values of Lockhart Central School are to provide opportunities through a positive learning environment which encourages and challenges students to reach their potential.
