Lalor Gardens Primary School was established in 2010 and has been in our current buildings since 2012.
Lalor Gardens Primary School is a multicultural school that welcomes students and families from across the world and throughout Australia.
Our school values of “Respect, Learning, Empathy, Responsibility and Resilience” reflect the ethos of this dynamic learning institution.
The school celebrates the important traditions of the major cultural/religious groups that are reflected in our community.
The teaching and educational support staff that comprise the school display the highest level of professionalism and care of all students no matter what their heritage.
There is a strong emphasis on the acquisition of Literacy and Numeracy skills from Foundation (Prep – 6) to ensure our students develop the skills for learning and success in education, work and life. We use the Victorian Curriculum for our teaching content and Department of Education policies procedures and processes for its implementation.
The school is housed in one modern learning facility that has enabled a sense of cooperation and joint teaching and learning.
A new learning facility consisting of competition size netball/basketball court and adjoining Performing Arts and Visual Arts centres is currently under construction and will be operational from Term 3 2019.
Students are placed in home groups with a teacher. However, learning is facilitated through targeted teaching and team teaching approaches.
I am extremely proud to be the Principal of such a multicultural community as we can all continue to learn and grow together in mutual respect.
I invite you to see what the school has to offer your family and children. A tour of the school is always available so that you can actually see, feel and hear what it means to be a member of this great school community. Just phone the general office.
