Bonville Public School is a small community school in a semi-rural area thirteen kilometres south of Coffs Harbour.

The school features a warm, friendly, family atmosphere where all students are valued and their individual needs catered for. In addition to a comprehensive academic education the school has programs in technology where all students have access to modern computers and all teachers teach with Interactive Whiteboards and the school's two Connected Classrooms, music (featuring a school band and Infants and Primary choirs) and Civics (a student parliament operates).

A co-ordinated excursion program involves all children in experiences in the local area and beyond. Physical activity and sport are emphasised with students being involved with intra-school, inter-school and state-wide sporting activities in addition to a Daily Fitness Program and specialist-taught gymnastics program.
