Bankstown North Public School has an enrolment of approximately 330 students. The school values and celebrates a diverse student population with 93% of students from a non-English speaking background represented by 33 languages.
The school is committed to providing high impact professional learning informed by global research to support the professional growth of all teaching staff. We apply the principles of the Science of Reading in our pedagogical approach using an instructional model underpinned by explicit instruction. Our staff members are enthusiastic and share a strong commitment to providing quality, evidence-informed teaching programs for all students. There is a mix of experienced and early career teachers who work collaboratively to plan and evaluate student progress.
The school is set on a large site, which is currently undergoing an update with building works to deliver 24 new and innovative learning spaces, a new library and multi-purpose areas. Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is embedded across K-6 with strong wellbeing practices established.
