Located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Balgowlah Heights Public School has an enrolment of 730 students and occupies a split site in a residential area. The school currently has 29 mainstream classes and two opportunity classes. The school enjoys a positive reputation in the community it serves providing excellence in all areas of student learning and wellbeing.
Staff members work collaboratively to deliver quality literacy and numeracy programs based upon evidenced based teaching practices and the analysis of student data. The school values an inclusive culture and implements wellbeing programs such as Positive Behaviour for Learning. In addition to quality learning and wellbeing programs, Balgowlah Heights operates highly successful programs in technology, Japanese, music, band, sport, public speaking, debating, dance, drama, student leadership and academic enrichment.
The school works in partnership with parents/carers and the wider community to ensure opportunities exist for students to connect, succeed and thrive in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
