About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Teacher to join our team in a well-established and highly regarded independent high school.
- Teachers with experience or qualifications in any Key Learning Areas (KLAs) are invited to apply.
- Willingness to teach outside your KLA at Stage 5 & 6 is essential.
- Newly graduated teachers are encouraged to apply.
- This role will be paid under the Atwea Enterprise Agreement 2021.
The role is based out of our Tuncurry campus – Alesco Senior College.
Fixed-term position for 2022. Ideally from (or close to) the commencement of Term 3 (18 July 2022) to the end of Term 3 (23 September 2022).
Full-time role.
About You
- You already live by the values of inclusion, integrity and innovation. You manage boundaries in your practice with young people well. You conduct yourself professionally but can connect and engage with students and staff in a kind, friendly and easy-going way.
- Teaching Qualifications in Stage 5 & 6 are desired but welcome those with Stage 3 & 4 experience.
- A demonstrated interest in student wellbeing.
- Excellent communication & social skills.
- Personal alignment with Alesco Senior College’s values and philosophy.
- Show initiative, self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised.
- Team oriented.
- Calm, measured and helpful in disposition.
- Current driver’s license.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current WWCC and National Criminal Police Record Check (or willingness to obtain pre-commencement).
